Anything New?

Calving season has started here at Beyond Hope Farm! On February 15th. Vivian of Flatland Farm kicked off the season with a big 84lb red bull calf by Skye High Koal. Named Viggo, the calf has been doing well and is showing to be quite the little chunk. The next calf to come was 11 days late and by Almosta Farm's Serena and Almosta Farm's Brogan. Another big red bull calf (named Seamus) was born March 2nd and was up and nursing within an hour of birth. That week was a tough one with three calves being born very closely together. Almosta Farm's Wynn decided to have her black bull calf (by No Guts No Glory) on March 4th. He also was up and nursing very quickly. Named Wild Child (Willie) he impressed all of us with how quickly he got up, nursed, and started running laps around his mom. Our next calf was born the very next night. We Tired Allysa gave us the first heifer calf of the season by Skye High Cornerstone. Named Athena she is showing to be quite the little spitfire and is already pushing the older bull calves around! With two more to go this spring and one fall calf coming, we are excited to see what the rest of the season has in store for us!
